Last summer Rick Ross and MMG dropped one of the best collaborative projects of the year with Self Made Vol. 2, which was just one of many big-selling albums for the Maybach crew. Speaking about their next collabo effort, Self Made Vol. 3, which was just announced, the Maybach leaders says sometimes when you collaborate it just doesn’t fit an album someone is working on so it gets shelved.
Talking to MTV, the Bawse mentions why he, Stalley, Meek Mill, Wale, and the rest of the labelmates are often in the studio together, but at times they record something hot and decide to keep it for one of their collaborative albums. “A lot of times you'll get in the studio with your homey and collaborate on a record that may not necessarily fit with the body of work,” Ross goes onto add, “you may be putting together for a solo album, but it's something that you really want to give to your fans.”
With the rappers preferring to work together on many of their tracks, the MMG mogul, says, “It's all about the collaboration and the presentation.” This is a musical partnership that developed by working together on multiple projects , “It just really comes from over time, us collaborating. We have so much music that we all collectively bring to the table that's really dope to us and a great representation of where we at musically,"
Expect to hear more tracks and previews off the upcoming Self Made Vol. 3 which will impact on August 6th.
