Trippie Redd and 6ix9ine were in a heated rap beef back in 2017, and years later, the animosity still exists between them. Earlier this year, Tekashi bragged about his role in the feud while speaking with DJ Vlad. He even described a time when his security allegedly had Trippie spinning through revolving doors.
6ix9ine also bragged about stealing the "Gummo" beat, which Pi'erre Bourne had originally reserved for Trippie. Tekashi is adamant that Trippie wouldn't have known what to do with the beat. All things considered, that beat changed the trajectory of rap in the late 2010s as 6ix9ine went on to become a huge star until his subsequent RICO case.
Recently, Trippie Redd was on stream with N3on, who was recently parodied in the extended look for GTA 6. In the clip below, N3on asks Trippie Redd which of his popular songs he hates the most. The artist was quick to say "Poles 1469," a collaboration with 6ix9ine which came out months before their beef.
Trippie Redd Still Hates 6ix9ine
“That song is nothing to me… that’s my worst song… I don’t think my part was bad," Trippie Redd explained.
At this point, it doesn't seem like a reconciliation between Trippie Redd and 6ix9ine is going to happen. 6ix9ine is too petty, and Trippie Redd has every reason to not be forgiving about the situation.
In fact, 6ix9ine could probably go the rest of his life without making music again. He has become a streamer and media personality who weighs in on all things snitching-related. Tekashi has always loved the attention, and that is an economy that pays well beyond music.
