Young Thug has announced that he will sign with Future's Freebandz imprint, and will be releasing some new mixtapes in the near future.

Things really aligned for Young Thug in 2014. The experimental emcee gradually gained hype and acclaim throughout 2013 on the strength of his 1017 Thug mixtape, but his singles, "Stoner" and "Danny Glover" really picked up steam in the new year, earning club-appreciation from both Drake and Kanye West.

It looks like the hype has reached a point where Thugger is ready to ink a deal, and as announced in an interview with DJ Drama last night, the rapper will be signing with Future's Freebandz imprint.

Thug revealed that he's got a couple projects in the works as well. On top of a single with Future dropping soon, he will also release mixtapes with frequent collaborators PeeWee Longway, and Rich Homie Quan, who respectively reflect the opposite ends of Thug's range of styles quite well.

No word on when we will see those projects just yet, but chances are we'll be seeing a lot of Young Thug this year.
