Waka Flocka says there is no animosity between him and Gucci Mane, and discusses his goals for "Flockavelli 2."
Although Waka Flocka and Gucci Mane have parted ways, Waka Flocka assures fans in a new interview that there is no animosity between the two rappers. Previously, Waka had said he would never work with Gucci Mane again, but he seems to have calmed down a bit. Nontheless, Waka still won't divulge the reason for their split.
The rapper said of the upcoming album, "October 5th, same day I dropped part 1. Of course it's different, and of course it's similar. Flockavelli 2 I feel like, I had to go there. I had to take it there. I feel like I'm a fresh artist again, but I know more tricks and trades." He continued, saying he wants to go back to the genre of music he created, "Plus, my second album, I went so far left, when I was already right, that I wanted to show people I could conquer another genre of people, and I did it. So now it's time to go back to the essence of music, or how I started and what I created. It's time to claim what the fuck I started."
Waka Flocka said of the Gucci Mane split, that the two are just going down different paths in life, "We on two paths in our life. Ain't no beef, ain't no animosity. It's that me and him see two different goals. I guess we both at the finish line we just going on our routes. That's all I can say." Waka added, "People they just can't put a finger on it, like what's the reason. Sometimes it's none of your fucking business, what's the reason. Just understand, two men went they own ways but it's no problems."
