Sole On Canvas put a twist on the blue and yellow "Laney" colorway, opting for a heavy dose of the secondary hue. Swapping the white tumbled leather for an all-yellow upper, the sneaker remains the same as the general release "Laney" Jordan 5.
The Air Jordan 5 "Oreo" is scheduled to drop on Friday, November 29th. The Black Friday release is fitting for the predominately black Oreo 5. The sneaker is constructed of an all black suede upper, with a cool grey jumpman on the tongue. A white midsole and inner lining complete the oreo look, which also features an icy blue sole.
This Air Jordan 5 "Smash" custom comes to us by way of Sekure D. The "Grape" 5 served as the base for this ripped kick, which focuses on detailed muscle fibers a la Hulk. The green muscles handle the toe box and break through the ripped purple on the ankle collar and heel. Overall, a really cool inspiration for yet another film-inspired sneaker.
Sekure D is responsible for the Air Jordan 5 "Minion" which draws on inspiration from the quirky characters of "Despicable Me." The base shoe, as evident by the blue and yellow tongue, was the recently released "Laney."
Despite claiming he is not a sneakerhead, and despite his allegiance to the University of Texas, Kevin Durant took to instagram to display a very exclusive pair of the Air Jordan 5 "Oregon Ducks." The sneakers, which first surfaced over a week ago, have gotten a lot of attention, as do most Oregon Duck Jordan PE's. The green suede looks super clean on the 5s silhouette with the "O" on the tongue, and the mascot on the heel.
It's rare that the "Raging Bull" Air Jordan 5 gets upstaged for the most intriguing sneaker on the court. But it happened last night when, for the first time this season, we saw a player lace up the "Blackout" Air Jordan 5.
It shouldn't come as a surprise that the Jordan 5 "Laney" is popping up on instagram, since the official release is just days away. Recently, BET's 106 & Park host, Bow Wow took to instagram to taunt his followers, showing off his pair.
