Bay Area emcee IAMSU! always does it for the fans, and today he uploaded a new project to Spotify (and TIDAL) called 6 Speed. Drawing at least a bit of inspiration from his 2012 project $uzy 6 $peed, the 10 song 6 Speed is classic IAMSU! Think upbeat, Bay slappers with slick flows and rapid-fire wordplay. Su doesn’t stray far from his formula, but there’s little reason to do so when the formula is so good.
6 Speed follows up IAMSU!’s second album Kilt 3 (released in March), and is currently only available on streaming platforms, but if you check back on the site in the next few days you should be able to find it in our mixtape section. There are only two features on this project: Show Banga and Hella Rawh!, but Su carries each song easily without any help. He also produced 8 of the 10 songs, making this a true solo effort.
