Steve Aoki's new album is dropping tomorrow (July 21st), but we've already got the scoop on one of the tracks that will be included in the release: his new collaboration with Wale called "If I Told You That I Loved You."
As with his previous tracks from the upcoming Kolony LP, Aoki has shifted his focus from an out-and-out EDM sound to more of a trap-dance hybrid, an instrumental center that helps ground Wale really well on the lyrics. Showcasing his verbal dexterity, the rapper flows through some complicated phrases and verses seamlessly, making this some of the best lyricism that we've seen on any of the new Aoki material. Definitely has banger potential.
