Rich Homie Quan details his label plans, and the progress of his debut album.

Rich Homie Quan was dismissed by many as a one-hit wonder early on, but with three radio hits this year alone (that's two more than Future, who he's often been compared to) he's solidified himself as a force to be reckoned with. Most recently, we've heard him team up with fellow ATL newcomer Young Thug on the Rich Gang single, "Lifestyle".

At one point, Thug and Quan were working on a joint mixtape, but it turns out much of that material will be making its way on to the upcoming Rich Gang compilation. "The best work we've done will be featured on Birdman's Rich Gang album," Quan told XXL.

As we've seen the two rappers working closely with Birdman lately, the question was raised whether Quan may sign to Cash Money eventually. “Yes,” the rapper said of the possibility of linking with the label. “Cash Money my idols coming up…To just changing the whole game. And if it doesn’t, it doesn’t, but I haven’t signed a deal at the moment. I’m still independent as we speak. Other than that, man, like I always say I’m trying to make the movement bigger than life. And if it works out with Cash Money it works out, but if it doesn’t Birdman will be my uncle for life. You dig?”

Rich Homie also gave an update on his upcoming album. “At the moment it’s untitled, but I’m still working,” he said. “I’mma say like 40 percent done. Hopefully, it can drop before the end of the year is out. Other than that just trying to make the movement bigger than life.”
