Fast forward five years and Cardi is now a Grammy-winning rapper, who has an impressive relationship with the Billboard charts, a rapper husband and an eight-month-old daughter. The "Money" rapper has an estimated net worth of $8 million, and these resurfaced images of her from a few years ago is a nice reminder of just how far she's come.
The story's a little creepy, but basically, a man saw Cardi shopping at Modell's Sporting Goods in The Bronx in August 2014 when he noticed that a lot of guys were staring at this woman. "I looked to see what they were looking at and I saw this chick with these really short-shorts, so I took a few pictures, because I thought she was beautiful, she had a great body," the unnamed man told The Daily Mail.
"I didn't think about the pictures again until last week when I was clearing out my Dropbox folder. I saw them and I was like 'oh my god, that's Cardi B,'" he explained. "That day I saw her, back in the summer of 2014, I had no idea she was going to turn out to be a megastar, I just thought she was really pretty."
