Accompanying the raw “So Simple,” “As A Man 2” is another brand new release from OG Maco. This one is a more traditional rap song, but still has OG Maco branching out from the trap sounds he originally made a name for himself on. We never expected the promising emcee to stay static in his style, as he’s even mentioned changing his name because his upcoming debut album will be so different from his other stuff.
“As A Man 2” features production from OGG producer OG Vader. It mixes poppy high and mid-pitched synthesizer sounds (think the soundtrack to “Drive”) with a simple drum line. The song makes mention of the 7FRVR artwork that’s used on both new songs album art when OG Maco raps “Keep it G, seven letters / seven is forever.”
