Last Sunday Odell Beckham Jr paid tribute to the late Craig Sager with a vibrantly decorated pair of Nike cleats, like others including Golden Tate and Ricky Jean Francois.
However, these custom spikes violated the NFL's strict uniform policy and OBJ was reportedly slapped with an $18,000 fine for wearing them against the Lions over the weekend. The Giants WR commented on an Instagram post by the Redskins' DeSean Jackson, who was also fined for wearing colorful cleats, saying he was never warned to take off the special edition cleats
Odell's comment read:
"Don't worry I got fined 18k for Craig Sager cleats that were auction off the cleats to the highest bidder and donating the proceeds to his cancer research. 18k like it's nothin to them, no warning to take them off or anything , noTHING!"
