Friends and fans will gather at the 21,000-seat venue to pay their respects.

Yesterday reports surfaced that Nipsey Hussle's family were actively searching for a large enough venue to accommodate the massive crowd they're expecting to attend the rapper's memorial, and according to TMZ they've made their decision. The publication states that the memorial service will take place Thursday morning at the Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles.

The venue holds 21,000 seats and TMZ says that tickets to the service will be sold through a website. "Our sources say there was a meeting Wednesday with Nipsey's family and honchos from Staples," they write. "LAPD officials were also present in the meeting to help plan logistics and security for the event." If true, there will be much work done as there is a Clippers game at the venue the evening prior.

Nipsey has been honored in many ways since he lost his life last Sunday, but yesterday's "Unity Walk" was a defining event in L.A. history. Gangs from various areas of Los Angeles including Watts, Compton, and Inglewood met up to walk the streets of Crenshaw and pay their respects to Nipsey.

“Nipsey was the first real LA. artist that was from L.A...not like Tupac who was from somewhere else and then L.A., and Biggie...," community leader Big U said. "Nipsey was the first like real L.A. artist to die the way he died. He didn’t have no conflict with nobody, he wasn’t beefing with nobody.”
