Murda Beatz & Smokepurpp are dropping a tape together.

Last weekend, Smokepurpp and Murda Beatz shared some footage from a studio session, in which the duo were vibing to some new music. In the caption, Murda promised that the duo would be about to "Bless Yo Trap," alluding to a Smokepurpp track off Deadstar. In the snippet, Purpp spits some sexually charged bars over Murda production, rapping "n*ggs salty and they hatin' cause Lil Purpp is young and rich, and my girl got a girl, but her tongue got my kids." And while many fans were wondering what the rapper and producer were cooking up, it appears that we now have our answer. A user on Reddit uploaded a picture from Smokepurpp's IG story, which featured the caption "MURDA X PURPP TAPE COMPLETE."

Smokepurpp and Murda Beatz are set to join the likes of Future & Young Thug, Metro Boomin & Gucci Mane, Jay-Z & No I.D., Metro Boomin & Big Sean, and more as the latest rapper/producer duo to finish up a collaborative album. For those who don't know, Murda Beatz has been hard at work right now, polishing his upcoming album Keep God First 2, as well as readying himself for a Canadian DJ tour (which kicks off today in Montreal). As for Purpp, he's still enjoying the success that Deadstar has yielded, including a deal with Travis Scott's Cactus Jack imprint and a forthcoming tour.

What do you think about this? Is a Murda Beatz / Smokepurpp collaboration something you might be interested in? Ultimately, it's not destined to be a lyrical extravaganza, but there will assuredly be at least a handful of bangers on this one. Sound off below.
