According to Swizz Beatz, DMX is planning a major return, collaborating with the likes of Kanye West and Dr. Dre.

It seems that there has been a renewed interest in the career of DMX after two of his classic songs were sampled on Drake's "U With Me?", a standout track off VIEWS. X released a new track last month, so it was thought that he might be prepping a full project. Swizz Beatz, who built a storied partnership with X in the late '90s and early '00s, has revealed the authenticity of said project, to which he will contribute. According to Swizz, other collaborators on X's upcoming album include Kanye West and Dr. Dre

Swizz actually shared all of this news over a month ago, though his revelatory Instagram post seemed to have slipped by the hip-hop news cycle. The post was picked up by Pigeons & Planes earlier today, soon after DMX has been in the news for his inclusion on VIEWS. Perhaps it's time for Dark Man X to start promoting this album.

It just so happens that Kanye West was one of the producers of the X-sampling "U With Me?", so it makes sense that he would want to contribute to X's forthcoming album, which will be his first since 2012's Disputed. Kanye also recently expressed nostalgia for DMX's music in a tweet amid one of his many rants before the release of The Life of Pablo

Swizz' Instagram post, which you can see below, also states that DMX has apparently been staying clean and that he is "ready to earn back his crown."
