Last night UNC head coach Roy Williams picked up his milestone 800th win with a victory over Syracuse, and today Jordan Brand has revealed a commemorative pair of sneakers in honor of this momentous occasion.
In celebration of the 800 wins, Williams was presented with a stained oak box laser engraved with the number 800 including an autographed pair of "Pinnacle" Air Jordan 1 Lows courtesy of Tar Heel legend Michael Jordan.
The special edition box highlights major moments throughout Williams’ career such as the eight NCAA Final Fours, two National Championships and induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. The inside lid also features his total number of wins at each of the school's he's coached (382 of which have come while at UNC), as well as the names of all his assistants.
Additionally, Jordan Brand is giving 800 tees to UNC to be available for purchase with proceeds going to UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, a cause Williams supports.
