It appears that the new Joey Bada$$ album All Amerikkkan Bada$$ is not destined to break any sales records. Despite receiving critical acclaim, HDD reports a total of 31-34k sales, counting all streams. While the numbers are disappointing, perhaps the political subject matter should be considered as an underlying factor. It's not necessarily the most commercially viable material, and it appears that Joey was fully aware of that going in. His singles, including the dark "Rockabye Baby," were far from radio friendly. While the rapper's star status appears to be growing, there was a notable drop in sales from his 2015 B4.DA.$$, which opened with 54k.
