Joell Ortiz is continuing his lyrical onslaught post Slaughterhouse. Ortiz announced an upcoming project called Mona Lisa alongside producer Apollo Brown, and now, we have the first single off the project. Entitled "Decisions," the masterfully crafted single features a hauntingly gorgeous instrumental. The sinister strings help Ortiz paint a picture of a man conflicted. He sat down with Billboard to discuss the upcoming project and also to speak about "Decisions."

"It was during this time that I was consumed by the streets, but fascinated with the idea of being a rapper,” Ortiz stated. “I was dealing with certainty and uncertainty. I had one foot in the booth and one foot on the corner. The corner fed my family, but the booth fed my soul. As you all know, I ended up leaving the hustle alone and pursuing a music career."

Quotable Lyrics
Keep moving this fire blow, or spit a fire flow?
Hit the booth, or hit the stoop and watch the sirens glow
Carry a gat or a knapsack my nigga, I don't know
Decisions, decisions
