Philadelphia Sixers center Joel Embiid is finally ready to make his NBA regular season debut after being drafted #3 overall in the 2014 Draft. The polarizing 7'0 big man has already made a name for himself as one of the most interesting players in the league but now it's time for him to show what he's got on the court.

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated's Lee Jenkins, Embiid revealed how he got to where he is today, having not picked up the game of basketball until 2010, and how he learned to shoot.

“You know how I learned to shoot?” Embiid said, per Jenkins. “I watched white people. Just regular white people. They really put their elbow in and finish up top. You can find videos of them online.”

So shoutout to all the white people out there with that disciplined, telephone booth shooting form. You helped create a monster who will finally get an opportunity to show off his glorious touch tonight against the Thunder.
