Coming out of early legal troubles, Jeezy was able to persevere and make a successful career for himself. This week, he shared advice with some young men at Wayne County Juvenile Detention Center in Detroit, when he decided to pay them a surprise visit.

"Detroit is like a second home to me and I really wanted to let you know that it is never too late for a second chance," said Jeezy, speaking to the class. "You have your entire life ahead of you and there is no reason why you shouldn't dream big."

The Atlanta rapper then stressed that the kids must make a choice to better their circumstances. "This isn't even the end of the world. This is just the point where you've got to make a decision," he explained. "You're in juvenile hall — it (can get) worse from here. So you've got to make a decision. I just came here to talk to you — you've got to make the decision."

Jeezy also took the time to talk to the kids individually, as well shaking hands and giving high fives.

"Detroit is not an easy city," he continued. "I'm sitting here looking at y'all — you've got some serious looks on your faces. I can only imagine what half of y'all's stories are. But when you sit down and think about it, all of our stories are the same: We just want to be successful, take care of our loved ones, and do the things we love in life."
