Turns out Gucci and Scooter's luck isn't all bad.
According to MTV News, a source close to Gucci Mane and Young Scooter has confirmed that the two rappers are currently sharing a cell at the DeKalb County Jail in Georgia. Scooter was arrested and imprisoned on April 8th for driving with a suspended license, which was a violation of his probation. Gucci was recently indicted on one count of aggravated assault after hitting a U.S. soldier in the head with a champagne bottle at a club. Freed on a $75,000 bond, he was arrested and returned to County for a probation violation a day later.
Scooter is signed to his own Black Migo Gang label, but is also affiliated with Future's Freebandz gang and Gucci's Brick Squad 1017 collective. In late February he and GuWop released the joint Free Bricks II mixtape, and they've collaborated on other tracks as well.
This situation has the all the makings of a comedic televsion show or film. "Gucci & Scooter," maybe? Something to think about when they both get out.
Scooter's upcoming Juug House album is slated to drop on July 2, 2013, and god only knows what Gucci has on deck, incarcerated or not. You can find their Free Bricks II project in our mixtape section, and listen to "Pass Around" (their latest collaboration) below:
