Before he was officially announced as a member of XXL’s 2015 Freshman class, Fetty Wap decided to make his by the Hot 97 studios to chop it up with gang from Ebro in the Morning. Being referred to as “one of the most important artist in 2015”, Fetty Wap sat down with Ebro, Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez to talk about the undeniable success that he’s encountered in this past year.
During the 25-minute chat, the “Trap Queen” crooner talked about how his remix to “My Way” came about with Drake, getting a co-sign from Kanye, his new dreads, performing with Fall Out Boy, and much more. Interesting enough, Fetty says the “My Way” remix came about because Kanye texted Drake his [Fetty] number to reach out.
