NBA legend and Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo has a mission. The former athlete built a hospital in his come country of Congo, but his work to help his fellow citizens did not stop there. As reported by TMZ, Mutombo met an 8-year-old boy while he was visiting the hospital that had been admitted due to a large tumor on his face. While speaking with the media site at the airport, Mutombo stated, "I was touched by what he's going through as a young boy who's 8 years old. Not going to school, the way he's been pushed away by the society. His mom has to keep him in the bedroom every day because people are talking bad about him." The gigantic Hall of Famer then invited the TMZ cameraman to film him greeting the child as he touched down at LAX.

As Mutombo hugs the boy, you can get a clear view of his face. The tumor has taken over an entire side of his head, swelling it to the size of a football. The child will be operated on by  Dr. Osborne in Beverly Hills, rehabilitated, and flown home to Congo where he can return to his life as a normal boy.
