The director for one of hip hop's most influential music videos, "(You Gotta) Fight For You Right (To Party)", has died at the age of 60.

Even though he may not have been a household name, director Ric Menello's work has surely been seen. The man behind the screen for Beastie Boys' "You Gotta Fight For Your Right", "No Sleep Til Brooklyn", and LL Cool J's "Going Back To Cali" has sadly passed away of a heart attack on Friday, March 1st at the age of 60, MTV reported. Menello also had co-wrote the script for Run DMC's feature film "Tougher Than Leather".
