A$AP Rocky's new ad for Mercedes Benz is an emotional one. The commercial finds the Harlem rapper recalling how he nearly lost his drive following the murder of his older brother Ricky, describing the tragedy in the loss of a beat that constantly kept him going.
While it's a loss he'll never get over, we learn that following Ricky's passing, Rocky was able to find his way once again, as the beat came back, "pulsing" through his body. "My older brother Ricky is responsible for me having a real job," he says, as it's revealed that Ricky is the one responsible for the tabletop beat we hear throughout the ad.
