    EDM and rap continue to interact, whether it be through electronic producers channelling the trap sounds coming out of Atlanta, or rappers lending their vocals to dance hitmakers. Both of these scenarios can be found on DJ Snake's smash hit, "Turn Down For What", which not only uses Lil Jon's mantra, but also features an epic drop inspired by Lex Luger's high hat-heavy production.

    Far East Movement hit us with a stacked remix of "The Illest" last month, and the EDM crew have now released a new version of the track.  This new mix features only ScHoolboy Q, extracting the verses from B.o.B and RiFF RAFF from the original.  The instrumental has also been rearranged, though ScHoolboy once again ends up rapping over the bass drop, which he does with surprising ease, recalling his single "Hell Of A Night", which experimented with EDM sounds.

    Far East Movement first released their "The Illest" single with Riff Raff back in May 2013, it was actually the last time we heard from them. Today the crew looks to breathe new life into the single, by offering up a remix with appearances from the original feature Riff Raff as well as ScHoolboy and B.o.B-- probably not the two rappers you'd expect to hop on the track, but nonetheless it works, with Q's inventive flow meshing well with the beat.
