There seems to have been some tension between Drake and Kendrick Lamar this year, but with no one explicitly naming names, it's hard to tell how much of it is imagined by outsiders. One thing is for sure-- they haven't been giving each other many compliments. Thus, it came as a surprise when Drizzy went out of his way to praise Lamar's major label debut in a new interview with Vibe.

Many were introduced to Drake as a Young Money signee, but his presence has grown exponentially since getting picked up by the label. In fact, the OVO rapper has come to a point where he's doing the biggest numbers of any Cash Money artist, and his new superstardom, as well as the absence of Cash Money features on his latest project, have brought about rumors of a rift between Drizzy and his label. In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid, Birdman, otherwise known as Cash Money's co-founder cleared the air on the rumors, explaining that Drake's loyalty has not dwindled in the slightest.
