Harambe

Young Thug goes in on "Harambe."

On Young Thug's new album Jeffery, he opts for some lighter and poppier-sounding records with songs like "Wyclef Jean," "RiRi" and "Pop Man" (which does actually feature Wyclef too). It's a change of pace for Thugger but with a chameleon-like flow, Thug can easily adopt. Still, Young Thug fans will likely lean towards the more eccentric records as that's where Thug excels. Case in point, "Harambe."

On "Harambe," Thug plays with his vocals and flow in new ways, proving there's still a lot of territory he's yet to cover when it comes to his boundary-pushing voice. He also adds a gruffness to his voice we haven't heard too often-- and all this over piano-driven, string-incorporated production. It's crazy.

What's your favorite song off Jeffery?

Quotable Lyrics

I know I did a lot of sinnin'
I hope you still let me make it through
Just cause I got me a spot in LA
That don't mean I'ma change the crew
My bitch trying to figure out
How she can tell me to chill without changin' you
