"Class of 2003" Air Jordan 12s believed to be target of Champs Sports heist.

The Clearwater Police Department in Florida is asking for help identifying a couple of thieves who ransacked the Champs Sports at Westfield Countryside Mall and made off with thousands of dollars worth of Air Jordan 12s. 

The department didn't specify exactly which Air Jordan 12s were stolen, but with the Chris Paul "Class of 2003" colorway set to release this Saturday, August 11, it is believed they were the target of the heist. The special edition kicks, retailing for $190, feature an olive suede upper accompanied by sail, black and gold accents, paying homage to CP3's alma mater, West Forsyth High School in North Carolina.

While police say the crooks snatched "several thousand dollars" worth of the shoes, an exact amount was not revealed. Check out a clip of the surveillance footage in the video post embedded below.
