"The Simpson's" accurately predicts this weeks Game Of Thrones Episode back in 2017.

If you are amongst the Game Of Thrones fans, then you're probably fuming right alongside everyone who's watched this week's episode this past Sunday. The episode showed Daenerys Targaryen and her last remaining dragon unexpectedly burning the King's Landing to the ground, killing thousands of innocent men, women and children in the process.

While the surprise plot development left many pissed off, it would appear that the dramatic scene was predicted two years ago – in a very different show: The Simpsons. Fans of the long-running animated series recalled an episode, which was aired in 2017, in which its characters paid homage to the most recent GOT episode, titled: "The Serfsons".

The episode guided saw The Simpsons family in a different setting than their usual contemporary Springfield - a medieval one which bears resemblance to the one fans have come to know in Game Of Thrones - and Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie played the show's incestuous subplots, havoc-wreaking dragons, and White Walkers throughout.

After watching Daenerys cremate Kings Landing in her quest for the Iron Throne, fans were taken aback by its pronounced similarity to a scene from The Serfsons, in which the family gleefully watch as a ravaging dragon burns Springfield down to ashes.

The show has accurately predicted a number of future events throughout its nearly three-decade run, including Donald Trump's presidency, the 2015 Ebola outbreak, and the 2018 World Cup Final. Fans never cease to be amazed at the discovery of a new prophecy come true, with one user taking to Twitter after this week's episode to joke "Writers at The Simpsons got a crystal ball or something?!?!?"
