Tony Soprano's palace is being purchased by an anonymous buyer.

Even years after his death, Emmy and Golden Globe winner James Gandolfini is still making the news. A condo he used to own in NYC is being sold for $6.2 million. The condo is technically the property of Gandolfini's ex-wife, who got the property as part of her divorce from the Sopranos star in 2003.

The apartment sounds like a better fit for Tony Soprano, the fictional mob boss that Gandolfini played, than for the man himself. He originally bought one apartment in 1999 for $850,000 and then in 2002 he got the neighbouring unit for $1.02 million and knocked down some walls to make one giant, 3200 square foot apartment. According to Page Six, the condo "has views across the West Village, plus a 30-foot-long great room, a formal dining room, a den and master suite with a walk-in closet and a dressing room." The brokers who are selling the property, Stephen Ferrar and Clayton Orrigo, describes it as "sun flooded." The buyer remains anonymous.

In other Soprano's related news, a spinoff of the TV series was recently announced. The feature length movie, The Many Saints of Newark, will be set in the 1960s during the Newark riots. Alan Taylor (of the original Sopranos) is directing the movie and there will likely be someone playing a young Tony Soprano.
