Earlier this month, K Camp and Sonny Digital gave some assistance to GENIUS on his latest banger "One Year Later". The song's been catching waves over the past few weeks. Today, he reunites with both K Camp and Sonny to drop the fiery visuals for the song.
"One Year Later" has all three rappers making sure you understand the progress they've made over the course of a year. The video consists of the rappers flexing under some red tinted lights. The three sit a gold chair during their respective verses, with gold pillars and a goat surrounding them. The video cuts between scenes of them rapping and a lady dancing in the same red lit area with the gold pillars. The song already bangs but the video brings a new form of life to the song.
The video was shot by GT films, who has previously worked with Ralo on his "You Don't Want It" video. He does a great job at playing with lighting and colors as well as bringing out the best in the artists that he works with. GENIUS, K Camp and Sonny Digital prove they share great chemistry both on wax and on camera.
For those who are unaware of who DJ GENIUS, he's originally from Jamaica but has been bubbling in Atlanta through his efforts as a DJ. He's helped put together some great collaborations in the city. Aside from that, he's gearing up for his new album which is titled A '98 Story. Earlier in the year, he linked up with Mike Fresh for their collaborative project A Come Up Story. With the release of "One Year Later", he's gearing to make a mark on the game. He brings together his ability to put together solid collaborations with his own rapping efforts and the outcome is dope.
