Shoreline Mafia drop a video for "Heavy."
Shoreline Mafia are young go-getters from Los Angeles who've been said to dabble in reality rap, the way it's been spun out the Bay. Of course the mob music has spread like wildfire in the region, giving highly synthesized music a run for its money. The Shoreline Mafia sound is fairly grounded because they owe themselves to Ron-Ron The Producer, an auteur whose signature slap is now synonymous with 03 Greedo and Drakeo the Ruler and lesser name artists of the like.
On "Heavy," original group member Ohgeesy gets first dibs on individual stardom. He makes light of a soda beverage served to him without additives. He flashes a scope while uttering idle threats. There's a little bit of everything in his video conception, all of which zip together like articles of clothing. A good comparable to Shoreline Mafia in terms of subject matter and style would be SOB x RBE, except they seem less impressionable within a model of professional growth.
