Shawn Harris is making quite the return this afternoon, just in time for your Friday night plans, but an hour too late to make it onto our Staff Picks playlist. He's giving us two new records, which he's sent over live from the studio. The rapper is exploring the singing lane more and more lately, as is evident on "Girl From Miami," but even so, he makes sure to give us some hard-hitting bars before the song is done.
The record tells the story of a stripper that's been struggling out in the MIA, with Shawn promising he'll always be there for her. The sparse production spirals into an new beast, just momentarily, to accommodate Shawn's verse which then leads us to the outro.
