Speaker of the House Paul Ryan bangs the gavel ending the final day of the Republican National Convention on July 21, 2016 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

Take an inside look into how Cleveland practices the law.

Cleveland, Ohio, is one of the most famous cities in America. It could be The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's location in the city, or maybe LeBron James has further plastered the image of Ohio in our heads. The bustling city that sits on Lake Erie's southern coast will now be at the center of the third season of Serial.

The highly anticipated third season of the hit podcast will dive into the inner workings of Cleveland's justice system. Sarah Koenig and Emmanuel Dzotsi host the podcast, and they were given access to discussions and rooms that the average person would have a hard time getting into. Judges chambers, attorney's offices, and courtrooms were scrutinized for Serial.

"Every case Emmanuel and I followed, there came a point where we thought: No, this can’t be how it works," Koenig told The Hollywood Reporter. "And then we were like, Oh! Oh my god. This is how it works! This is how it happens! People who work in the system, or have been through the system, they know this. But millions more people do not. And for the past year I've had this urgent feeling of wanting to kind of hold open the courthouse door, and wave people inside. Because things are happening — shocking things, fascinating things — in plain sight."

Season three of Serial will debut with two episodes on September 20th here.
