Sekani's "Somebody's Favorite" comes off a project of the same name which the rapper describes as "5 tracks that embody different styles, lanes and emotions of Hip-hop/R&B." On his submission, Sekani picks out some ethereal production colored by ghostly vocal samples. As for Sekani's performance, he's fairly stoic in his rap delivery, sharing some personal bars before breaking into a hook that hints at an impressive melodic ability. Much like the immersive beat, the hook is filtered to sound dreamy and maximal.
