Puma and Sega have teamed up for not one but two Sonic The Hedgehog sneaker collabs that draw on inspiration from the main character and his arch nemesis, Doctor Eggman.

The collaboration will utilize the Puma Running Series (RS) model, a running sneaker from the 1980’s that will make its comeback in June. The SEGA x PUMA RS-0 "Sonic" features a furry blue upper, complete with yellow and red detailing as well as both PUMA and Sonic The Hedgehog logos on the tongue. As you'd expect, the SEGA x PUMA RS-0 "Doctor Eggman" is built on a contrasting glossy red, leather colorway with black and yellow striped detailing.

According to Sneaker News, Adam Petrick, Director for Brand & Marketing at PUMA says, “We’re excited to be able to partner with such a fun and innovative brand with a longstanding history in popular culture. We are one with SEGA in always pushing the boundaries forward and are very proud of the fantastic result of this collaboration."

Given the massive popularity of the Sonic video game series, both Sega x PUMA RS-0 collabs figure to be among the brand's most popular sneaker releases this year.

The Puma x Sega RS-0 sneakers will be available at Puma’s website, Puma stores, and select sneaker retailers on June 5 for $130.
