A label rep says the Atlanta rapper will recover from Tuesday's shooting.

Up-and-coming Atlanta MC Waka Flocka Flame was shot Tuesday (January 19) in his hometown, according to Fulton County Police.

Flocka (real name: Juaquin Malphurs) suffered a gunshot wound to the arm as he was stopped at a carwash on National Highway. He was rushed to nearby Grady Hospital. A spokesperson for his record company said Flame will be fine.

Compton, California rap star Game has officially confirmed June 15th as the date he will release his fourth solo release, the R.E.D. Album.



The release is being executive produced by Game and Pharrell Williams, who produced tracks on the album along with Dr. Dre, who offered his production expertise, in addition to laying down rap vocals for the R.E.D. Album.

Jay-Z is going to bat against Boston Red Sox player David Ortiz for naming a club in the Dominican Republic after the rapper’s 40/40 Club.



According to Reuters, Ortiz is illegally operating a Forty/Forty club on the island, in addition to running the domain namewww.fortyforty.net.



Ortiz' club opened in October of this year, while Jay-Z's first 40/40 location in New York opened in June of 2003.

Apparently the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is after Lil' Wayne’s fortunes, seeking over $1.13 million dollars in back taxes for the years 2004, 2005 and 2007.



The IRS filed and a lien against his One Family Foundation this past June in Dade County Florida courts, as the lien maintains the same address as his charitable organization.

 Ever since 50 Cent dropped 'Before I Self Destruct' last year and experienced his first true bomb, he's been relatively silent on the rap front. Rick Ross has responded to the rumor that he is featured in a new sex tape. A clip of the tape, which was said to have been taken from footage shot before Ross rose to fame, appeared on rival 50 Cent's website early Thursday morning.

Rapper DMX has been arrested yet again.



The troubled rapper, 39, was taken into custody Thursday in Maricopa County in Arizona for probation violation, according to RadarOnline.com.



DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was reportedly cited for use of Oxycontin without a prescription, failing to submit to drug testing, failing to participate in counseling programs, failure to make payments and driving on a suspended license. He was also allegedly in possession of cocaine at the time of his arrest.

Business partners fight, but brothers unite. That's the case between DJ Drama and Don Cannon. Christopher Wallace was shot and killed in his car, while leaving a music industry party in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997, but a perpetrator has not been named in the case.

Compton rapper the Game has been ordered to pay his cousin over $50,000 in damages, after assaulting him at a family funeral in 2008.



Game, born Jayceon Taylor, was accused of beating his cousin Robert Kirkwood, with the aid of four other men, at the funeral for Kirkwood's sister in 2008. According to Kirkwood, the dispute began after Game refused to help pay for the costs of the funeral, instead growing violent, punching his cousin, causing severe injury.
