Every time a new photo of Sammy Sosa surfaces the internet becomes more and more shocked at how the former Chicago Cubs slugger's look has changed over the years. Sosa's skin has become drastically lighter since he retired from baseball and his most recent cowboy attire has him looking nothing like his former self.

The most recent photos of Sammy include a red cowboy hat, a gun holster and red cowboys boots.

To be fair, Sosa's wife, Sonia, had a Western-themed birthday party which is the reason why he looked like he was ready for a rodeo. But that didn't stop twitter users from slinging their jokes. One commented, “My childhood baseball idol from Dominican Republic turned out to be a white cowboy.” Sterling Brim, co-host of MTV's Ridiculousness, added, "Sammy Sosa really gave it all up to be White Man from San Antonio."

Sosa has been at odds with the Cubs organization since his retirement and team owner Tom Ricketts recently said that he'd welcome back the organization's home run leader if he 'put everything on the table' regarding his alleged PED use. At this point, it's unclear if that will ever happen.

In the meantime, check out some of the other reactions to Sammy's fit below.
