During a random perusing of Soundcloud, I came across this young'n from the T Dot, Roy Wood$. His sound is pretty impressive, for an 18-year old without a full release out yet. Roy takes on what has become a Toronto sound, a mix of r'n'b and rapping, in a similar vein as Tory Lanez. For your introduction to Roy Wood$, we're highlighting his recent drop (and according to his Soundcloud page, his third song? That may/may not be accurate) "I Got." "I Got" puts Roy's singing vocals on display, but we also catch a glimpse of his rapping as he switches things up mid-way with a verse. He pulls off both with dexterity. The cloudy production is backed by mellow piano keys and repeating hi-hats, while the hook will have you putting this on repeat.
