While the Los Angeles Rams may have lost to the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl last night, they still managed to make history, although said history was made on the sidelines. This year, the team added two male cheerleaders to their cheerleading squad and with those men taking part in the Super Bowl, they became the first male cheerleaders to take part in the big game.
Quinton Peron and Napoleon Jinnies made history at the beginning of the season, becoming the first ever male cheerleaders in the league's history. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, they both spoke about how they ended up with the Rams and some of the adversity they've faced since joining the Rams.

"Whatever has been out there we've been able to takeit, because we know who has our backs," Peron said. "Our family has our backs, our girls have our backs and the city of L.A., they've got us."
Meanwhile, Jinnies explained that he had been talking with friends who suggested that he just show up and audition to be a part of the 40-person cheerleading squad.
While the two made positive history for the Rams, the team failed to do the same out on the field as they lost 13-3 in the lowest-scoring Super Bowl in NFL history.
