The three names they reported failed to woo are Portland's Damian Lillard, Boston's Terry Rozier, and Charlotte's Kemba Walker. The details of their failed bids come in the wake Phoenix's acquisition of Ryan Anderson and De'Anthony Melton from Houston in exchange for Brandon Knight and Marquese Chriss.
Brandon Knight's departure leaves the with Shaquille Harrison and rookie Elie Okobo as the sole backup options for combo guard Dev Booker. As it stands one might be thrust into a starting role, likely the rook. The other option is to play Josh Jackson out of position, but that could hinder his development at his preferred position.
