Last time we heard from Minneapolis, Minnesota MC Nikko Lafre, it was just over a week ago when he shared the Drew Love-assisted "Hometown Love." Now he returns with "Ridin," a sensual slo-mo track produced again by frequent collaborator K. Beatz.
Beginning subtly, "Ridin" quickly expands into an almost Houston-esque track (Lafre mentions an old school chevy with a fresh paint job, big rims, and woodgrain steering wheel), with trippy, distant synths providing the only accompaniment to a bare-bones beat and Lafre's voice. The rapper spits to a woman throughout the song, even busting out some sung vocals for the hook in order to seal the deal.
