Knicks fans across the planet are rejoicing this morning as team owner James Dolan has reportedly agreed to finally cut ties with Knicks President Phil Jackson.
Knicks fans' frustrations with Phil reached a fever pitch in the last week, specifically when he floated the idea of trading away the team's future star Kristaps Porzingis. Not to mention, his ongoing feud with Carmelo Anthony who has a no-trade clause and is still under contract for two more seasons.
There's no quick fix for the Knicks franchise but getting Phil Jackson out of the front office, and possibly bringing in a guy like Toronto's Masai Ujiri to run the show, has New Yorkers dancing in the [twitter] streets this morning.
