Scott explained (H/T 247sports.com),
"I'll be back in East Lansing to play another season with my dogs," said Scott. "It's just about what's better for me, and not only for me, but helping the team out next year. We'll be able to have a great season next year and have a great team, and I just want to be a part of it to help."
The 6'1 running back finished the year with 895 yards and eight touchdowns in 12 games. He now has 2,588 yards rushing in his three-year career. With Scott officially set to return in 2018, Michigan State will return 10 of 11 offensive starters next season, and 19 of 22 overall.
