Michael Rapaport was unceremoniously fired from Barstool Sports yesterday morning after he bashed the site's rabid and loyal fanbase of "Stoolies" and got into heated arguments with several Barstool personalities.

Rapaport, who joined the Barstool Sports team last June, was let go just hours after his meltdown this past weekend, which played out for all to see on twitter.

Here's the basis of what happened and ultimately led to Rapaport's firing: In a series of tweets, Rapaport repeatedly called out one of Barstool's bloggers, Smitty, for using steroids prior to his boxing match at the "Rough N Rowdy" PPV in West Virginia. Then, Rapaport responded to a tweet from a Stoolie, "if you call yourself a fucking stoolie for real, you've already lost in life," and that was essentially the end of his Barstool career.

Multiple Barstool employees came to the defense of their fans and in turn, Rapaport began bashing those co-workers and it was all down hill from there.

Barstool founder, Dave Portnoy, was not on twitter at the time of the feud but posted a video hours later in which he publicly announced Rapaport's termination, from the comfort of his own bed.

In the hours since Rapaport's firing, his podcast has received over 20,000 1-star reviews from the "Stoolies", which dropped the overall rating of the "I Am Rapaport: Stereo Podcast" from 4.5/5 to 1.5/5.

This certainly isn't the first feud that Rapaport has been involved and it surely won't be the last but it doesn't look like he did himself any favors by trashing the wildly popular website that was promoting all of his outrageous rants.
