Smart will need to think twice before starting something next time.

The Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers had a spirited tilt on Wednesday night which ended with the 76ers coming out victorious by a score of 118-115. It was a fantastic game with lots of drama interspersed throughout. One of those dramatic moments included Marcus Smart and Joel Embiid. In a bout of frustration, Smart shoved Embiid from behind who embellished his way to the floor. Smart was promptly ejected after the play and now it has been announced that he is being fined by the league for $50k according to ESPN.

It's not rare for the NBA to fine players for such incidents, so it's no surprise that Smart got hit with the fine.

After Wednesday's game, Embiid spoke about the altercation and what he thought about it all.

"Obviously, I was frustrated, because it was a cheap shot," Embiid said, per ESPN. "I didn't see it coming. It caught me off guard. But, I mean, I really don't want to talk about it. I don't care. Stuff like that, it gets me going, it gets the crowd going," Embiid said. "And everybody knows that I play better when the crowd is involved. So, that energy was definitely good for us."

The Celtics are currently 5th in the Eastern Conference, while the 76ers are 3rd.
