LeBron wants to be more than just a player.

Michael Jordan bought the Charlotte Hornets for $275 million back in 2010 and now the team is worth $1.25 billion. Based on that increase, it's pretty obvious that owning an NBA team is a pretty savvy investment. One of those people that agree is none other than Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James who spoke to The Athletic about the potential of one day buying a franchise. LeBron seems pretty adamant about it and in the interview promptly said "I'm going to do that s***."

Magic Johnson also spoke to The Athletic and talked about how important it is to have people like Jordan and James owning franchises. He also joked that LeBron would be a great owner once he leads the Lakers to the promise land as a player.

“Having Michael in Charlotte is great and it’s special, but we need more,” Johnson explained. “LeBron would be outstanding as the second player to be an owner in our league. We need more African-Americans, for sure, and LeBron would just be fantastic to become the next owner — after he leads the Lakers to an NBA championship, of course.”

Lebron still has quite a few years left as a player, but his post-playing career is sure to be an interesting one.
