LaVar Ball and the Big Baller Brand have just released the first trailer for the Ball family's new reality show, "Ball In The Family," which will debut this Thursday on Facebook. The 10-episode series will give fans a glimpse behind the curtain into the life of LaVar and his wife, Tina, as well as their sons Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo.
In the first teaser trailer for "Ball In The Family," we see a different side of LaVar and his boys as they open up about the stroke Tina suffered back in February. LaVar can be seen rehabbing with his wife at their Chino Hills home, re-teaching her how to say, "I love you," while Lonzo opens up about the impact his mom's medical emergency had on him and his brothers.
Of course, "Ball In The Family" will also highlight plenty of more light-hearted moments, including Lonzo's relationship with his girlfriend, the Big Baller Brand business, and LaMelo and LiAngelo's grind to make it to the NBA and play alongside their brother on the Los Angeles Lakers. At least, that's how LaVar sees everything playing out.
In speaking about the upcoming reality series, LaVar said in a statement,
“We wanted to give our fans an unfiltered look into our lives and show them a side of us that isn’t typically seen,” LaVar Ball said in a statement. “We have a big community of fans on Facebook, so we’re excited our series is going to be on Watch. And who better to help us tell our story than Bunim-Murray Productions.”
According to Variety, “Ball in the Family” is one of the first original TV-style shows that Facebook is using to launch Facebook Watch, which is a new feature that aggregates longer-form video content and encourages episodic viewing. As of now, access to Facebook Watch is available to a limited number of U.S. users in a test rollout, but any Facebook user can access “Ball in the Family” from its dedicated show page on the service.
The first episode of "Ball In The Family" will debut tomorrow, August 31st. Check out the first trailer below.
