Rapper KYRIE may currently reside in Los Angeles, but the Baltimore native carries her hometown on her back. The 23-year-old rising star left everything behind to chase her dream, making the decision to transplant herself to the City of Angels with hopes of making it big. “I moved to L.A. at 18 with no money, no car, moved every 6 months. Quit my job on a whim. Did Lyft full time for a year. Crashed my car twice because I was so stressed and constantly tired. But I couldn’t leave. I had to tough it out. I get closer to my goal every day.”

On her recently released single "It's Like That," KYRIE partners with singer Kaylie as the pair deliver a "boss moves" track.  KYRIE steers clear of overly sexualized lyrics and lets her ex-man know that he was nothing but a waste of her time. The catchy song is a refreshing blend of R&B and hip hop that is neither verbally scathing nor too bubble gum pop. Take a listen and let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics

Ain't no gold digga, still I'll make 6-figures
He just wanna smash this hourglass like go figure
Reloaded like I had a little dose of Trigga
Quick to go flip mode like my name Rah Digga
