AND1 to launch a capsule collection co-designed by KG.

Kevin Garnett is returning to AND1 for the first time since 2003, when he was a 26-year old All-Star forward for the Minnesota Timberwolves. In honor of AND1's 25th anniversary, the brand that KG helped build has brought him back as a creative director and global ambassador.

According to the report, AND1 will launch a capsule collection co-designed by KG, as well as an accompanying campaign featuring footwear, apparel, and accessories.

“I’m thrilled to get back to my roots and partner with AND1, one of the best basketball brands in the industry,” KG said, via press release. “We have many initiatives underway that we’ll be launching, including my new capsule collection, which I’m particularly excited about.”

AND1 launched in 1993 and Garnett was one of the brand's earliest ambassadors, including several signature sneakers which might be available once again now that KG has returned. AND1 is now part of the Sequential Brands Group Inc.

Eddie Esses, President of Sequential’s Active Division, is thrilled to have Garnett back in the fold.

“For 25 years, AND1 has remained synonymous with the game of basketball and its street-ball lifestyle,” said Eddie Esses, President of Sequential’s Active Division. “As we look to the future, we’re excited to bring Kevin Garnett back to AND1 as the brand’s creative director, global ambassador and strategist, to widen the brand’s distribution channels and to expand into new territories. We’re looking forward to working with Garnett and rolling out the innovative programs we have planned for the year, which will further deepen the brand’s connection to consumers.”
